Students’ Voices Will Be Heard First, Says Manipur CM After Talks With DMU Union

Imphal: ManipurChief Minister Yumnam Khemchand on Friday emphasised the importance and role of youth in building an ideal state, saying that the voices and concerns of the youth of the state cannot go unheard and that students will always receive priority and attention from the government.

The chief minister, while assuring the youth over the matter, remarked following a meeting with the representatives of the DMU Students’ Union.

The chief minister remarked while assuring the youth after meeting representatives of the DMU Students’ Union at the Secretariat office. The president of the All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) headquarters also accompanied the chief minister during the meeting.

Reiterating the government’s commitment to student welfare, the chief minister said, “Our students are the future of Manipur, and their voices and concerns will always receive due attention and priority.”

The delegation also honoured the Chief Minister with a traditional Lengyan Fi and extended warm courtesies during the interaction as the student representatives apprised the Chief Minister of several issues concerning student welfare, including matters related to scholarships, the posting of security guards, and the need for overall academic environment improvement.
