According to police, approximately five unidentified masked persons suddenly pelted stones at the vehicle, causing him to sustain injuries to the head. The attackers fled the scene toward a nearby forest as local residents and shopkeepers rushed out upon hearing the commotion.East Khasi Hills Superintendent of Police Vivek Syiem confirmed the details on Tuesday, stating that Prof. Biswal was immediately rushed to the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS) for medical evaluation.
