The airline restored services to 137 out of 138 destinations, with on-time performance jumping to 75% from just 30% a day earlier.

In its latest evening update, IndiGo reiterated full waiver on change and cancellation fees for all bookings until December 15 and said refund processing and baggage reconciliation are being carried out at full speed. “We are working round the clock to return to complete normalcy. We sincerely thank passengers for their patience,” the airline stated.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) confirmed that the situation across Indian airports has largely stabilised, with all other domestic carriers operating at full capacity and without disruption.

Key interventions by the government include:

- Immediate imposition of fare caps on affected routes to prevent surge pricing by any airline; airfares have since returned to reasonable levels.
- Strict deadline for IndiGo to complete all refunds for cancelled and heavily delayed flights by 8 pm Monday — the carrier has already refunded ₹610 crore.
- Mandatory delivery of all misplaced baggage within 48 hours; over 3,000 bags were reunited with passengers by Sunday evening.
- Setting up dedicated passenger support cells and a 24×7 war room for real-time monitoring of operations, crew availability and grievance redressal.

Airport authorities in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Goa reported smooth passenger flow with no overcrowding or chaos at terminals on Monday.

Reassuring the public, the ministry said, “Passenger safety, convenience and dignity remain our top priority. The entire aviation ecosystem is returning to normal at a rapid pace, and all corrective measures will stay in force until 100% stability is achieved.”
