A 26-year-old man named Vivek was seriously hurt after an elephant called Akkikkavu Karthikeyan lifted him with its trunk and threw him to the ground. The accident took place on Thursday morning while preparations were going on for the Sheeveli procession.The elephant had been brought to the temple for the ceremony and was decorated with ornaments. In videos recorded by people at the spot, the elephant can be seen suddenly grabbing Vivek and tossing him aside. The shocking footage has now gone viral on social media.The incident occurred shortly before the Panchari Melam performance, which was to be led by Peruvanam Kuttan Marar.
