Nabin took charge in the presence of several top leaders of the BJP, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former president J.P. Nadda, Union Ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and Nitin Gadkari, as well as various chief ministers, national office-bearers, state unit presidents, and members of the national executive.Nabin was elected unopposed as the 12th national president after the nomination and scrutiny process concluded on Monday with no rival candidates.BJP National Returning Officer K Laxman announced late on Monday that only Nabin's name remained following the withdrawal period, confirming his selection by consensus.At 45 years old, Nitin Nabin became the youngest person to lead the BJP, surpassing the previous record held by Nitin Gadkari.
