Since joining the party, he has been actively campaigning across both rural and urban areas of the constituency.However, reports of internal dissent within the BJP’s local unit have surfaced, with some veteran workers expressing displeasure over Mishra’s selection as a candidate. Despite the reported differences, the BJP’s top leadership has extended full support to him, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently addressing a public rally in Buxar to strengthen his campaign.The Buxar Assembly seat, currently held by Congress MLA Sanjay Kumar Tiwari, has remained under Congress control since 2015.
