T20 World Cup: Canada, UAE Battle To Revive Campaigns

Canada will face the United Arab Emirates in Match 20 of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Friday, February 13, with both teams aiming to bounce back after difficult starts to their campaigns.

Led by Dilpreet Bajwa, Canada struggled in their tournament opener against South Africa at the Narendra Modi Stadium. They conceded a daunting total of 213 and could only manage 156/8 in reply, exposing concerns in both their bowling attack and middle-order batting.

The United Arab Emirates also endured a disappointing beginning. A steady half-century from captain Muhammad Waseem helped them post 173/6, but New Zealand chased down the target with ease, reaching it inside 16 overs without losing a wicket.

The match is scheduled to begin at 3:00 PM IST, with live telecast available on the JioStar Network and streaming on JioHotstar.

The pitch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium is expected to favour batters, with a flat surface and shorter boundaries likely to produce a high-scoring contest. Bowlers may find it difficult to contain runs, making a first-innings total of around 200 or more crucial for teams looking to gain the upper hand.
