His remarkable performance has been widely appreciated, serving as an inspiration for sportspersons across age groups.On his return home, Phukan was accorded a warm and enthusiastic welcome by local residents at Chunpora in Sivasagar, who celebrated his achievement with pride.The National Masters Games are organised under the aegis of the Masters Games Federation, an India-based sports body that aims to support the Olympic movement and promote the “sport for all” philosophy of the Olympic Charter.
