He was arrested by the Sonitpur district police following intelligence inputs regarding his alleged activities. According to police sources, Sharma was in contact with individuals based in Pakistan and is suspected of supplying sensitive information and confidential documents to them. The nature and extent of the information allegedly shared are currently under investigation. A case has been registered at Tezpur Sadar Police Station under Case No. 785/25. The police have invoked Sections 147, 148, 152, 238 and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in connection with the matter. Senior police officials confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, and further details will emerge as the probe progresses.
