Congress Worker Injured After Falling From Stage at Gaurav Gogoi Rally in Cachar

An unfortunate incident was reported at a public meeting addressed by Assam Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi at Katigorah in Cachar district, where a Congress worker fell from the stage and sustained serious injuries.

The incident occurred yesterday during Gogoi’s public rally held at the Baruni Mela ground. According to sources, soon after Gaurav Gogoi arrived at the venue and stepped onto the stage, party workers gathered to welcome him and began raising slogans of “Gaurav Gogoi Zindabad.” As the number of people on the stage increased, it became overcrowded.

Amid the commotion, one Congress worker reportedly lost his balance while chanting slogans and fell from the stage. The worker was rendered unconscious immediately after the fall.

He was promptly rescued by those present at the venue and rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Hospital sources said the worker sustained serious injuries and is currently undergoing treatment.
