The discovery has led to fear and anger among residents, with many questioning the adequacy of existing security arrangements.Police have taken cognisance of the matter. An official from the Jalukbari outpost confirmed that authorities are in contact with the institute administration and that an inquiry is currently underway.AdvertismentStudents voiced strong reactions to the incident. One girl student said, “Students from all over the country study here, and parents trust that their children are safe on this campus. Is this what they receive in return? The soap case was not always there — someone was taking it away and placing it back again. We want transparency in the investigation and the culprit must be identified and punished.”Echoing the concerns, a male student alleged ongoing security issues around the campus. “Our classes end at 4:30 pm, and many men remain outside the campus until around 9:30 pm. They drink, smoke, and even harass girls. We have repeatedly raised this issue, but it has not been adequately addressed. We need proper security and daily patrolling,” he said.Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses. Also Read: Crackdown on Child Labour: Six Minors Rescued from Garages and Car Wash Centres in City OperationAdvertismentAdvertismentAdvertisment Read the Next Article
