High-Speed Scorpio crashes into divider near Basistha flyover, seven injured

A road accident was reported near the Basistha flyover late at night after a high-speed Scorpio vehicle rammed into the road divider, causing panic in the area.

According to preliminary information, the Scorpio was travelling from the Beharbari side towards Khanapara at a very high speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle. It crashed into the divider and overturned multiple times before coming to a halt.

The vehicle involved in the accident bears the registration number AS 01 GH 3214. Local residents said that around seven youths were travelling in the vehicle at the time of the mishap.

Upon receiving information, local people rushed to the spot and assisted in rescue operations along with the police. All the occupants were safely pulled out of the damaged vehicle.

Fortunately, the youths sustained only minor injuries. An investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident.
