Over 7.6 Lakh Students to Appear as HSLC Exams Start Feb 10, HS from Feb 11

The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) has completed all preparations for the upcoming High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination and the Higher Secondary (HS) final examination. In a move aimed at ensuring smoother conduct of the exams, the board has increased the number of examination centres compared to previous years.

For the HSLC examination, a total of 1,044 centres have been set up across the state, with 4,38,565 students set to appear. Meanwhile, the Higher Secondary examinations will be conducted at 821 centres, with 3,30,744 candidates enrolled.

According to the board, the HSLC theory examinations will begin on February 10 and conclude on February 27. The Higher Secondary theory examinations will commence on February 11 and continue till March 16.

The practical examinations for HSLC were held earlier, starting on January 28 and concluding on January 29. For Higher Secondary students, practical examinations began on January 27 and will continue until February 7.

The board has also made arrangements for the evaluation process, setting up 45 evaluation halls for HSLC and 48 evaluation halls for Higher Secondary examinations.

Additionally, ASSEB has clarified that HSLC question papers will be prepared separately for each language, ensuring uniformity and fairness in assessment.

Extending its best wishes to all candidates, the board expressed confidence that the examinations will be conducted smoothly and successfully. Authorities have urged students to remain focused and calm as they prepare to appear for the crucial examinations.
