According to Dharmanagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Mina Debbarma, the trio had allegedly entered India through the India-Bangladesh international border six months ago and were working in Bengaluru. After being caught by authorities in Bengaluru, they created fake Aadhaar cards to evade detection.

During interrogation, the accused revealed the name of a local agent, Islam Uddin, who is currently absconding. The police have launched a manhunt to apprehend Uddin and are conducting further investigation to gather more information about the fake Aadhar card racket.

The arrested Bangladeshis will be produced in court on Thursday for police remand. The police are working to determine the extent of the forgery network and identify other individuals involved in the racket. The operation has proved yet again the ongoing efforts of the Tripura police to curb illegal immigration and maintain border security.
