Protests were reported from Biswanath, Charaideo, Dibrugarh, Lakhimpur, Darrang, Sonitpur, Nagaon, Jorhat, Sivasagar, Tinsukia, Tamulpur, Goalpara, Nalbari, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Kokrajhar, Udalguri and Dhubri, among other districts.In Guwahati, hundreds of Congress leaders and workers, led by Kamrup (Metro) District Congress President Swapan Das, gathered at the Manavendra Sharma Complex. Protesters raised slogans including “Deshotkoi Mami Dangor Nohoy,” “We demand an account of the Chief Minister’s illegal assets,” “Himanta Biswa Sarma became the owner of 12,000 bighas of land only after becoming Chief Minister,” and “BJP hai hai.”Several senior Congress leaders and party office-bearers participated in the demonstration, including Kushal Sharma, Gopal Sharma, Ramen Sharma, Mahila Congress President Meera Borthakur, APCC Media and Communication Department Chairman Bedabrat Bora, APCC Secretary Imdad Hussain, Kridip Barman, and District Congress General Secretary Rupak Das.Police personnel were deployed at the venue to maintain law and order during the protest.
