Assam Power Alert: 36-Hour System Downtime for Cloud Migration Of APDCL

Guwahati: A scheduled downtime of 36 hours due to ongoing cloud migration activities has been announced by the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) today.

As per an official statement by the APDCL, the shutdown is scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM on February 28, 2026, and will continue until 9:00 AM on March 2, 2026.

The statement also stated that during the period of the shutdown, all public and internal applications and portals related to the APDCL, which include ARMS, Consumer Portal, EasyPay, MyBijulee, and BijuleeBandhu, are scheduled to remain temporarily unavailable for the consumers.

The official statement further read, "It is to inform our valuable consumers that in connection with the ongoing cloud migration activities, a system downtime of 36 hours has been scheduled from 9:00 PM on 28/02/2026 to 9:00 AM on 02/03/2026." During the aforesaid shutdown period, all public as well as internal applications and portals, including ARMS, Consumer Portal, EasyPay, MyBijulee, BijuleeBandhu, and other associated systems, shall remain temporarily unavailable.”

Officials at the APDCL have also advised the prepaid consumers to recharge their meters before the scheduled system downtime and also to maintain enough balance in order to ensure uninterrupted power service. The APDCL expressed its regret for any inconvenience caused to consumers, but said it is unavoidable as it is a technical matter and that the cloud migration would require at least 36 hours in order to complete the process.
