Exam Countdown Begins: Assam Releases Full HSLC & HS Final 2026 Routine

The Assam State School Education Board has officially released the detailed programmes for the HSLC (Class 10) and Higher Secondary Final (Class 12) Examinations for the year 2026.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma shared the examination dates along with the subject-wise timetable, bringing clarity for lakhs of students preparing across the state.

HSLC Examination 2026

According to the notification issued by the Board (Division–I), the HSLC exams will begin on February 10, 2026, with MIL/English (IL) scheduled in the morning session.

The subject-wise schedule extracted from the official programme includes:

• February 13: Social Science

• February 14: Music (E), Dance (E), Wood Craft (E), Home Science (E) — and in the afternoon, Fine Art (E), Weaving & Textile Design (E)

• February 16: English

• February 20: General Mathematics

• February 23: General Science

• February 24–25: MIL subjects — Manipuri (E), Santhali (E), Hindi (E), Garment Designing (E)

• February 26: Advanced Mathematics (E), Geography (E), History (E), Sanskrit (E), Computer Science (E), Commerce (E), Nepali (E), Arabic (E), Persian (E), Assamese (E) — Afternoon: Assamese (E)

• February 27: NSQF Vocational Subjects including Retail Trade, IT/ITeS, Private Security, Health Care, Agriculture & Horticulture, Tourism & Hospitality, Beauty & Wellness, Automotive, Electronics & Hardware, Dairy Worker, Apparel & Home Furnishing, Yoga & Physical Education, and Artificial Intelligence & Robotics

The exams will be held in two sessions: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

Higher Secondary Final Examination 2026

The Assam State School Education Board, Div-II (erstwhile AHSEC), has scheduled the HS Final Examination 2026 from February 11, 2026, starting with English in the afternoon session.

• February 14: MIL / Alternative English

• February 16: Anthropology, Sociology, Sales Management & Advertising

• February 20: Statistics

• February 21: Music Group A (morning), Computer Science & Application (afternoon)

• February 23: Biology / Insurance / History

• February 24: Music Group B (morning), Vocational Paper-I (afternoon)

• February 25: Tai Language

• February 26: Bihu

• February 27: Mathematics

• February 28: Music Group C (morning), NSQF Subjects (afternoon)

• March 5: Physics / Accountancy / Education

• March 6: Vocational Paper-II (morning), Community Science (afternoon)

• March 7: Logic & Philosophy / Finance / Psychology

• March 9: Chemistry / Business Studies / Political Science

• March 10: Business Mathematics & Statistics / Geography / Geology

• March 11: Advance Languages (Arabic, Persian, Sanskrit)

• March 12: Economics

• March 13: Multimedia & Web Technology

• March 14: Fine Arts / Economic Geography / Biotechnology
