The police also recovered Rs 1 lakh in cash from the accused.AdvertismentAccording to reports, the police stopped a Wagon-R vehicle (AS 09 K 7808) on its way from Dimapur Super Market to Muzaffarpur, Bihar. During the search, a large quantity of morphine was found in the vehicle.Three individuals, identified as Pritam Ingleng from Diphu, Rupchung Bongrum from West Karbi Anglong, and Mohammad Hakim from Bihar, were arrested in connection with the seizure. Notably, Mohammad Hakim is an employee of the Indian Railway's Accounts Department in Assam.When the police signalled the vehicle to stop, the accused attempted to bribe the officials with cash. However, the Dilai police remained vigilant and apprehended the trio.This successful operation is part of the Dilai police's ongoing campaign against drug trafficking.
