Meghalaya murder: Assam man brutally killed, hanged in forest

A shocking incident of murder has come to light in Meghalaya. A local man from Assam, identified as Tapan Dey from Basishtha, was brutally killed and hanged in a dense forest in Dawki, Meghalaya.

According to reports, Tapan Dey had travelled to Meghalaya from Guwahati last Saturday, but his journey took a tragic turn. The culprits, allegedly a gang of robbers, stole the vehicle he was travelling in and left him to die in the forest.
The body of the victim was recovered last night, and the Meghalaya police have launched an investigation into the incident. The authorities are working to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

The body is expected to be handed over to the family members this evening, and the police are likely to provide more information about the case in the coming hours. The incident has sent shockwaves in the region, and people are demanding swift action against the accused.
