Mittal, who managed Garg's career for several years, is facing allegations of financial irregularities and opening a music institution in Garg's name without his direct involvement. In 2004, he managed events for artists in Mumbai, including Sa Re Ga Ma Pa winner Devojit Saha. Mittal became Zubeen Garg's manager in 2006-07 and later moved to Mumbai in 2014 to manage artists through his company, TM Management.In 2014, Mittal gave Siddharth the responsibility of overseeing Zubeen's work, paying him Rs 12,000 per month. In 2021, Mittal formed a music company, Zubeen Garg Music LLP, with Zubeen Garg and Siddharth Sharma. As a partner, Mittal earns a share of Zubeen's royalties. The SIT is investigating Garg's death, which occurred in Singapore on September 19, 2025.
