Assam: Young Man’s Body Found in Guwahati's Khanapara

Assam Police recovered the body of a young man in Guwahati’s Khanapara area under suspicious circumstances. Local residents discovered the body early in the day and promptly alerted the police, who arrived at the scene to initiate a preliminary investigation.

While the cause of death remains unconfirmed, authorities suspect a possible drug overdose.

The identity of the deceased has yet to be determined. Notably, the individual was wearing a volunteer card from Zubeen Kshetra, suggesting a connection to the Zubeen Garg Kshetra in Sonapur, located near Khanapara.

According to locals, the area where the body was found is notorious for illegal activities, including drug use, alcohol consumption, and cannabis-related incidents. Police are continuing their investigation to uncover further details surrounding the incident.
