"The mysterious death case of Assam's beloved Zubeen Garg took a significant turn as the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court transferred the matter to the Sessions Court for trial.Advertisment A virtual hearing was held on Tuesday, conducted in virtual mode due to law and order concerns. All seven accused were directed to appear before the Sessions Court on December 22. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for the same day before the Sessions Judge. Currently, the seven accused are lodged in Baksa and Haflong jails. Meanwhile, the chargesheet filed by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has revealed several details that are to be examined by the court. According to the documents submitted by the SIT, Zubeen Garg, who reportedly earned around Rs 3 crore annually, had only ₹10 lakh in his two bank accounts. Seeking an account of Bihu's earnings from his manager, Siddharth Sharma proved fatal for Zubeen. It is claimed that Zubeen was scheduled to take the accounts from Siddharth Sharma on October 12. Questions are now being raised about whether the singer was murdered in Singapore on September 19 as part of a pre-planned conspiracy. Notably, Zubeen Garg died under mysterious circumstances on September 19 while swimming in the sea in Singapore, where he had gone to participate in the North East India Festival. Assam Police have claimed it as a planned murder, leading to the arrest of seven individuals. The case will now proceed to trial in the Sessions Court.
