He was forced to drink, and this will be reflected in the chargesheet. We want them to find courage and inspiration from Zubeen’s legacy,” Sarma said.The blood-donation and blood-group determination camps were organised under the banner “Jeevan Surabhi” at 53 locations across the State, offering a profound homage to the departed legend.Vrindavani Vastra to Reach Assam by Early 2027Providing an update on the longstanding effort to bring the sacred Vrindavani Vastra to Assam, Sarma said the initiative has been underway since 2014, intensifying from 2019 onwards.He confirmed that the required international and institutional arrangements have now been completed.“With the structural processes finalised, Assam will receive the Vrindavani Vastra in the first half of 2027,” he said.Clean Voter List Expected by Mid-2026On the electoral roll, the Chief Minister said that because the NRC update was not completed, the state is currently using the SR system instead of SIR.He pointed out that a large number of deceased or fraudulent names remain on the voter list.“We expect to have a comparatively clean electoral roll by the middle of next year,” Sarma said.Also Read: Will This Be the Turning Point Assam Has Waited For in Zubeen’s Case?
