Alongside the thrilling flying demonstrations, the event included a special exhibition and a movie release dedicated to commemorating India’s 1971 war victory that led to the liberation of Bangladesh.The Vijay Diwas celebrations hold particular significance for the Eastern Air Command, which played a pivotal role during the 1971 conflict. Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, speaking to the media, fondly recalled the IAF’s crucial contributions during the war and emphasized the importance of joint operations between the armed forces.“I’m very happy to share the memories of that time. The Indian Air Force stood rock solid and delivered as expected, whether it was during day operations in November, the swift air ceasefire, or the decisive strikes, such as the attack on the Governor’s House in Bangladesh, which brought the war to a conclusive end.
