The celebrations prominently featured the 150-year legacy of the national song Vande Mataram, blending tradition with modern achievements.The parade will commence at 10:30 AM and will last approximately 90 minutes.It will begin with Prime Minister Narendra Modi paying homage at the National War Memorial by laying a wreath to honour the nation's fallen heroes. Following this, PM Modi and other dignitaries proceeded to the saluting dais.President Murmu, accompanied by the chief guests, will arrive in the traditional buggy, escorted by the President's Bodyguard, the Indian Army's oldest regiment.Following this, the national flag will be unfurled, accompanied by the national anthem and a resounding 21-gun salute fired by the 1721 Ceremonial Battery of the 172 Field Regiment using indigenously developed 105 mm light field guns.A group of at least 100 cultural artists are expected to deliver a captivating performance centred on the theme "Vividata Mein Ekta" (Unity in Diversity) , through a grand musical display.The parade will be led by Lieutenant General Bhavnish Kumar, General Officer Commanding, Delhi (a second-generation army officer), with Major General Navraj Dhillon , Chief of Staff, HQ Delhi (a third-generation officer), serving as the Parade Second-in-Command.Among the distinguished participants, recipients of India's highest gallantry awards, including Param Vir Chakra winners Subedar Major (Honorary Captain) Yogendra Singh Yadav (Retd.) and Subedar Major Sanjay Kumar , along with Ashoka Chakra recipients Major General CA Pithawalia (Retd.) and Colonel D Sreeram Kumar .For the first time, a contingent from the European Union will participate, featuring four flag bearers on three gypsies carrying the EU flag, the flag of the European Union Military Staff, the EU Naval Force Atalanta flag, and the EU Naval Force Aspides flag.The Indian Army will present a phased battle array format, incorporating both ground and aerial elements. The reconnaissance segment will include the 61 Cavalry in combat uniform, followed by India's first indigenously designed armoured light specialist vehicle (a high-mobility reconnaissance vehicle).
