Shocking Revelations

The Red Fort attack was planned by a gang of doctors, including Dr. Mujammil Gani, a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist who had visited Red Fort multiple times. Mujammil is currently in police custody, and his mobile phone examination revealed sensational information. The gang had planned an attack on January 26 and had drawn up a blueprint for a larger attack later.

Investigation Findings

The blast is linked to a Faridabad-based terror module, from where nearly 3,000 kg of explosive substances were seized. Preliminary findings suggest that ammonium nitrate, fuel oil, and detonators were likely used in the blast.

Security Measures

Security has been tightened around the Red Fort area, and the Lal Qila metro station was closed for security reasons. The Red Fort has been closed for three days following the incident.

Government Response

Prime Minister Modi assured that the conspirators behind the blast would not be spared and that those responsible would be brought to justice. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and assured that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.
The investigation is ongoing, with the NIA continuing to probe the blast site and gather evidence. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report on the nature of the explosion is expected to provide further clarity on the incident.
