The questioning took place at the CID headquarters in Guwahati, marking a significant step in the high-profile case.

Parikshit Sarma, Siddharth Bora, and Geolangsat Narzary were grilled extensively about the events that transpired at the exclusive gathering and their interactions with Garg on the night of his demise. Sources indicate that the trio were among a select group of attendees, positioning them as potential key witnesses to the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. A senior CID official stated that the agency is meticulously reconstructing the timeline leading up to Garg’s death to uncover any critical details.

In the next phase of the investigation, the CID has issued summons to four additional Assamese expatriates—Abhimanyu Talukdar, Tanmoy Phukan, Sushmita Goswami, and Debojit Hazarika—who were reportedly present at the same yacht party. They are scheduled to appear for questioning in the coming days.

To bolster the investigation, the CID is collaborating with Singaporean authorities to access surveillance footage, digital communication records, and forensic evidence. This partnership aims to corroborate witness accounts and provide concrete leads in the case.

Zubeen Garg’s sudden death on September 19, 2025, during a scuba diving excursion in Singapore, where he was attending the 4th North East India Festival, sent shockwaves across Assam. The incident has sparked widespread grief and fueled public demands for a thorough and transparent investigation. Fans and prominent figures in Assam’s cultural sphere continue to rally for justice, amplifying calls through social media campaigns like #JusticeForZubeenGarg.

CID officials described Monday’s interrogations as a pivotal breakthrough, signaling their commitment to deepening the probe. The agency plans to summon additional witnesses and pursue all leads to unravel the truth behind the beloved singer’s untimely passing.
