The initiative seeks to incorporate inputs from diverse groups, including farmers, workers, students, small traders, entrepreneurs, women, intellectuals, social organisations, and community leaders.A key team comprising former MP and Chairman of the APCC Election Management Committee Ripun Bora, MLA Nurul Huda, and Mahila Congress President Mira Borthakur departed from Rajiv Bhawan in Guwahati on Thursday for the hill districts of Karbi Anglong and Dima Hasao. Before setting off, the team paid floral tributes at the Zubin Garg Kshetra memorial in Sonapur.From Friday, this team will begin interactions in the two hill districts to gather public opinions.APCC President Gaurav Gogoi will participate in the campaign in Majuli and Dibrugarh, with scheduled meetings and events in Dibrugarh, Makum, Dhemaji, and Lakhimpur districts from December 21 to 24.AICC General Secretary in charge of Assam, Jitendra Singh, is also slated to join multiple meetings across the state starting Friday.Leader of the Opposition in the Assam Legislative Assembly, Debabrata Saikia, will cover districts in Lower Assam, including Barpeta and Bajali. MP and Chairman of the Manifesto Committee Pradyut Bordoloi will engage with various sections of society in Hailakandi in Barak Valley.Chairman of the Election Campaign Committee Bhupen Bora will lead the Jatra in Darrang on December 21, Sonitpur on December 22, and Biswanath on December 23.The campaign will operate through five dedicated teams, supported by five specially prepared buses.
