Assam Youth Found Dead on Uttar Pradesh: Know How?

A youth from Hajo in Kamrup Rural, Assam, was found dead in Prempur of Uttar Pradesh on January 8, reports said on Friday.

As per information available, the deceased has been identified as Sanjib Deka, a resident of Ramdia Bongaltola in Hajo, Kamrup Rural. The deceased was found on the railway tracks, soaked in blood, which raised suspicions of possible foul play.

Deka's body was found near Prempur Railway Station, about 200 kilometres from UP's Kanpur.

He, according to reports, was employed contractually for nearly 12 years with the Railway Department's Dynamic Enterprise.

Deka had boarded the Brahmaputra Mail from Guwahati on January 7 for an official duty scheduled in Delhi.

However, on January 8, his dead body was found on the railway tracks near Prempur. His death is currently under investigation, and there has been suspicion of the incident being a possible murder.

Deka's family has claimed that he might have been murdered and demanded a thorough investigation.

The police in Uttar Pradesh, following the recovery of the body, have now begun an investigation.
