After the completion of the investigation, the trial proceedings commenced in District and Sessions Court.Speaking to the media during the trial, Ali Hussain said,“My image has turned out to be zero, with no value at all. Today, I am being given a jail term for a crime that I have not committed at all.”Yesterday, the court found Ali Hussain guilty and delivered the verdict. Under Section 21(c) of the NDPS Act, he was sentenced to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment and fined ₹1 lakh.
