Bizarre! Intoxicated Police Officer Crashes into Cars, Locals Intervene in Assam’s Dibrugarh

In a bizarre turn of events, a drunk traffic police officer caused an accident by crashing into several vehicles with his own car in Dibrugarh, Assam.

The officer identified as Sisu Ram Gogoi lost control of his vehicle near the Chowkidinghee area of Dibrugarh Town in Assam, and collided with multiple private cars on Saturday night.

After the incident, locals caught the intoxicated officer and prevented him from driving the police vehicle. Upon investigation, bottles of alcohol were discovered inside the officer's vehicle, which was identified as a traffic police vehicle.

The victims have since approached the Dibrugarh Sadar Police for assistance, formally filing a complaint.

The incident had sparked an uproar on the streets of Dibrugarh town on Saturday night, with concerns over the Assam police officer’s actions and widespread outrage that an on-duty traffic police official was driving under the influence of alcohol.

As of now, no official statement has been issued by the Dibrugarh traffic police regarding the matter.
