Originally scheduled to reach Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport late Sunday night, Shah's flight from Ahmedabad was delayed due to dense fog. The aircraft eventually departed Ahmedabad at 8:30 am and landed in Guwahati at 11 am.

He was received at the airport by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP national vice-president and Assam in-charge Baijayant Jay Panda, other senior party leaders, and top government and police officials.

Following a revised itinerary, the Home Minister proceeded directly from the airport to Batadrava in Nagaon district—the birthplace of the revered Vaishnav saint-philosopher Srimanta Sankardeva. There, he inaugurated the newly developed Batadrava Than Cultural Complex, a project executed by the state government at a cost exceeding ₹100 crore.

Shah is also set to address a large public gathering at the historic site after the inauguration ceremony.

During his packed schedule in Guwahati later in the day, he will dedicate several key infrastructure projects to the public, including the new Guwahati Police Commissionerate building, the Integrated Command and Control System (ICCS), and the 5,000-seater Jyoti Bishnu Cultural Complex.
