NationalDoctors and Dealer Released in Red Fort Blast Probe as NIA Finds No Direct Link to Key AccusedThe National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reportedly released four individuals, including three doctors and a fertiliser dealer, who were detained in connection with the recent Delhi Red Fort blast.DY365 Nov 18, 2025 13:51 ISTThe National Investigation Agency (NIA) has reportedly released four individuals, including three doctors and a fertiliser dealer, who were detained in connection with the recent Delhi Red Fort blast.AdvertismentThe release follows three days of intense questioning after investigators found no concrete evidence or digital footprint linking them directly to the key conspirator, Dr Umar Un Nabi. The released men were identified as Dr Rehan, Dr Mohammad, Dr Mustaqeem, and fertiliser dealer Dinesh Singla. They were arrested in Nuh, Haryana, in recent days. The doctors had a previous association with the main accused, Dr Umar, and were connected to Al-Falah University, an institution previously scrutinised for alleged terror links. The NIA had also explored whether any explosive chemicals were sourced from Singla, the fertiliser dealer.Investigation Focus ShiftsThe investigation into the November 10 blast, which resulted in 13 fatalities and several injuries after a bomb ripped through a Hyundai i20 near the Red Fort, has now widened to the Mewat region based on new leads from abandoned mobile phones and CCTV footage. The prime orchestrator has been identified as Dr Umar Un Nabi, a medical professional from Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama who was working at Al-Falah University in Faridabad."White-Coat" Terror Module UncoveredThe probe uncovered a sophisticated "white-coat" terror module allegedly run by highly educated individuals, including doctors, associated with the university. Raids linked to this module have resulted in the recovery of nearly 3,000 kg of explosives. Authorities suspect Dr. Umar may have triggered the bomb prematurely after realising the operation had been compromised. While four of the seven individuals detained from Mewat have been released, the NIA confirmed it will continue to monitor them. The overall investigation suggests a wider conspiracy targeting multiple cities and possibly linked to external terror outfits, leading to arrests in various parts of the country, particularly Jammu and Kashmir. Also Read: ED Raids 25 Locations Linked to Al-Falah University Over Suspected Terror Funding LinksAdvertismentAdvertisment Read the Next Article
