While swimming in the sea, reportedly without a life jacket after removing an ill-fitting one, Garg suddenly lost consciousness and drowned despite rescue efforts, reports claimed. His companions claimed that he was rushed to the hospital but could not be revived.Allegations of foul play soon emerged, including claims from one accused that Garg had been poisoned.
