As per sources, the primary accused, Shyamkanu Mahanta, Siddharth Sharma, Sandipan Garg, and two personal security officers, Nandeshwar Bora and Paresh Baishya, will be taken to the Baksa District Jail located in Mushalpur.

On Wednesday, Shyamkanu Mahanta and Siddharth Sharma were presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Court in Guwahati under heavy security, following the conclusion of their custody with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). The transfer occurred with heightened precautions, underscoring the case’s sensitive nature.

Senior advocate Mintu Saikia stated that none of the accused have sought bail at this stage. While arrangements are in place to temporarily detain Mahanta and Sharma at Guwahati Central Jail, they may later be shifted to Baksa District Jail in Mushalpur or even Diphu Jail in Karbi Anglong.

All five individuals are scheduled to undergo medical examinations at Pan Bazar Police Station as part of the ongoing legal process.
