"A Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by APS Moramee Das has left for Mumbai as part of the ongoing investigation into the mysterious death of renowned singer Zubeen Garg.Advertisment According to official sources, the SIT team will record statements from some of Zubeen Garg"s close associates in Mumbai. The team will also meet the doctor who treated the late singer during his earlier stay in the city. It is to be noted that Zubeen Garg also owns a residence in Mumbai. In 2020, just before the COVID-19 lockdown, Zubeen Garg was reportedly admitted to a Mumbai hospital following a sudden illness. The SIT will now gather detailed information about his health condition at that time and the nature of his treatment. Meanwhile, the investigation continues at the CID headquarters in Guwahati. Assam Journalist and YouTuber Chakrapani Parashar appeared before the CID for the second time today. On the other hand, Deepak Sharma, brother of Siddharth Sharma — the prime accused in the Zubeen Garg death case and former manager of the late singer — also appeared before the CID office today. Sources said the SIT may question him regarding his brother"s assets, as the investigation has revealed that Siddharth Sharma owned multiple properties in Assam as well as in other parts of the country. So far, the SIT has interrogated more than 100 individuals connected to the case and is now expediting the investigation before filing the final charge sheet. Only after the charge sheet is submitted will the circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of Zubeen Garg become clearer. Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday had reiterated his assertion that the death of iconic Assamese singer Zubeen Garg was a premeditated murder, dismissing earlier notions of it being a tragic accident. Addressing reporters this afternoon, CM Sarma said that investigative officials are treating the case as a murder. He revealed plans to submit the chargesheet by December 8, while the police are supposed to file it by December 17. "We are fully equipped to meet this deadline," he stated. It may be mentioned that the announcement follows Sarma's meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah last Sunday, aimed at expediting necessary approvals. "For incidents occurring overseas, clearance from the Ministry of Home Affairs is mandatory before filing the chargesheet," Sarma told reporters. "
