The team has received CCTV visuals from Singapore, along with mobile phone data and forensic reports from Delhi-based laboratories.Earlier, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the SIT is gearing up to submit its chargesheet on 10 December, marking a crucial development in the high-profile case that has drawn widespread public emotion.Meanwhile, fans in Guwahati observed Zubeen Garg’s birthday with heartfelt tributes. Cultural organisations organised music, poetry, prayers, and dance performances, and supporters cut a guitar-shaped cake celebrating the singer’s deep love for the instrument. Slogans such as “Joy Zubeen Da,” “Zubeen Zindabad,” and “Zubeen Must Get Justice” echoed through the event.In a later update, Special DGP CID Munna Prasad Gupta clarified that whenever an Indian citizen dies abroad, the investigation requires prior approval from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). He said the SIT had formally sought this approval for Zubeen Garg’s case as well.Gupta confirmed that the MHA has now granted permission under Section 208 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), ensuring there are no procedural hurdles in filing the chargesheet.
