"The Singapore Police will provide a comprehensive report within 90 days as part of their collaboration with Assam Police in the ongoing investigation into the mysterious death of renowned singer Zubeen Garg, Senior Director General of Police (SDGP) Munna Prasad Gupta announced today, following his return from Singapore.Advertisment On October 21, two Special Investigation Team (SIT) officers met with a five-member Singapore Police team in a productive session to exchange critical information. They said that the Singapore authorities have pledged legal assistance and will share vital details to aid the probe. The post-mortem report from Singapore will be formally transmitted through the Indian High Commission. During their visit, the SIT officers inspected key locations related to the case and gathered significant evidence, reports stated. The team has plans to collect CCTV footage and witness statements within the next 10 days. Statements from Singaporean citizens will be recorded directly by the Singapore Police, who will include these in their forthcoming report. Following its submission, the Singapore Police will coordinate with Assam Police for further inquiries, with subsequent actions to be pursued through appropriate judicial channels. Addressing concerns about Zubeen Garg"s Personal Security Officers, Paresh Baishya and Nandeswar Bora, Gupta revealed that substantial financial transactions were detected in their accounts. “These activities fall under the Prevention of Corruption Act due to disproportionate assets, and the Chief Minister"s Vigilance team is investigating, given the significant sums involved,” he stated. Gupta also stated that 70 individuals have provided statements to the SIT so far. He added that Assamese residents in Singapore, affiliated with the Assam Association, may be called again for additional statements if required."
