Rajasthan Horror: Four Aunts Crush 16-Day-Old Nephew to Death in Bid to Secure Marriage Proposals

Jodhpur: In a chilling case of superstition-driven murder, four women in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, allegedly stomped their 16-day-old nephew to death with their feet, believing the ritual sacrifice would end their prolonged wait for marriage.

A disturbing video circulating online captures one of the accused cradling the infant while muttering incantations, joined by the others in a chant police say was directed at Bheru, a local folk deity.

The victim’s devastated father identified the killers as his sisters-in-law. “They’ve been desperate to marry for years and thought crushing my son would bring grooms to their door,” he told reporters, demanding the strictest punishment. “These videos are staged to dodge justice.”

Police have launched a full investigation into the ritualistic killing, with the child’s body sent for a postmortem. The women remain in custody as the probe continues.
